====== Loss of Pressure ====== In the event that the system is no longer pressurized, the [[components:valves:blowoff:division_two_blowoff]] needs to be opened to allow air to escape the system and to avoid stresses on the system. If the booster pumps are off for an extended period of time (for maintenance, power outage, etc...) and the [[components:gauges:mains_pressure_gauge]] reads 0 or close to 0, it is critical that the [[components:valves:blowoff:division_two_blowoff]] be opened before the booster pumps are restarted. - Ensure both [[components:pumps:booster_pump_left|]] and [[components:pumps:booster_pump_right|]] are turned off at the [[components:controls:control_box|]] - Ensure that the all [[components:valves:main_shutoff|]] valves are open - Open the [[components:valves:blowoff:division_two_blowoff]] - Put one of the booster pumps into manual mode - Let the booster pump run for at least 10 minutes, the water coming out of the blowoff should be steady, no sputtering or air. - The [[components:gauges:mains_pressure_gauge]] should show some pressure now. - Slowly close [[components:valves:blowoff:division_two_blowoff|]] - Set the booster pumps to auto - Monitor the [[components:gauges:mains_pressure_gauge|]] and the pressure gauge in the control box. It should return to 20 psi - The booster pump set to auto should automatically shut off when the system reaches ~22 psi
